This session will start with a look back at 2019 including building for the Global Climate Strike.  Alongside other speakers we will be joined on Skype by Asad Rehman from War on Want who will outline the plans coming together to mobilise for COP 26 in Glasgow in 2020. There will be plenty of time for discussion and sharing experiences, ideas and suggestion for campaigning in the coming months. The session will conclude with the Campaign against Climate Change AGM, including election of steering group and officers for the coming year. If you would like to stand for the steering group or officer positions see below for details of how to do this.

1.00-2.00 Climate, Strikes and Solidarity - joint session with UCU (Sir Ambrose Fleming Lecture Theatre) We are very pleased to be running the first session of the afternoon in combination with delegates from UCU who are attending another event running in parallel. This will be a fantastic opportunity to look at the work across the Trade Union movement to deliver solidarity with the Global Climate Strikes and to hear from UCU activists who took the lead to push for action on 20th September. We will be joined by student activists from UKSCN and HE to look at how the Trade Union movement can build on this work to continue to push for solidarity action alongside Climate Strikes.

2.00-3.00 Broadening engagement with climate strikes and greening the workplace. (Sir David Davies Lecture Theatre)

This session will look at some of the wider work to green our workplaces, fight for climate justice within our unions and organise to put trade unions at the forefront of campaigning for a Just Transformation of society and for the action we need to tackle the climate and ecological crisis. This session will conclude with the CACC trade union group AGM including election of officers, if you want to stand see here for details.

2.00-3.00 (parallel session) Student assembly: building for the next climate strike on campus (note this is in a different building - see map below! - room C3.15 in the Institute of Education, 20 Bedford Way, WC1H 0AL)

A joint session with activists from XR Universities to plan joint action for protests, campaigns, strikes with a particular focus on the next climate strike in November. Also discussing campaigns around divestment from fossil fuels.
