Royal Declaration Of Reincorporation

(or 'Decaration of the Americans don't deserve Independence')

When in the course of human events one (pretended) nation absolutely refuses to show any decent respect to the opinions of mankind or to the Laws of Nature, or of Natures' God., such that it assumes among the Powers of the Earth the special and unique distinction of doing more than any other to hasten the progress of the planet to environmental meltdown and catastrophic destabalisation of the global climate, when it shows such wilful ignorance in the face of scientific findings, such short-sighted selfishness, arrogance and greed that it refuses to cooperate with the rest of the world in the salvation of the planet from its greatest and most deadly environmental threat, or make the very smallest sacrifice to that end ..

Then we are impelled to declare that this provides just cause for one people to reassume the political bands that one time connected them to another and thereby retun the latter to colonial status whereby they might be prevented from tipping the whole world into destruction and acquire the attentive tutelage of the mother country until such time as they acquire more mature judgement.

We hold these truths to be self evident :

That all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights , that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness (as Mr Jefferson so nicely puts it)

That to enable us to secure theses rights God has granted us a most wondrous planet and wholesome environment excelling in all kinds of beauty and delight, and furthermore the means of our subsistence

That without this planet and this environment maintained in a healthy state we cannot secure our just and inalienable rights aforementioned

Therefore when any government or nation becomes destructive of this planet, and damages its wholesome atmosphere and environment with a long train of abuses of global agreements and usurpations of international authority, pursuing invariably to the same end, namely the degradation of our common global inheritance then its actions thereby constitute a most malicious assult upon the inalienable rights..indeed the lives and livelihoods of others.

It is the right of those people, in those circumstances, to alter or abolish this government or nation , relaying its foundations on such principles, and reorganizing its powers in such a form, or reducing them to such a level, that it can no longer pose a deadly threat to our shared global environment, and to the safety and happiness of the world as a whole.

Prudence indeed will dictate that governments - even those established for a mere couple of hundred years or so - should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all Experience hath shown , that Mankind are more disposed to suffer, while environmental evils are sufferable, than to put things right by abolishing the worst and biggest environmental culprit among governments. But when the actions - or inaction - of such a government threaten to reduce our whole planet to a state of absolute desolation and render it (in the words of Her Majesty's Secretary of State for the Environment) - "uninhabitable" - then it is our right, it is our duty, to throw down this government and thereby provide a guard for our future security. Such has been the patient suffering of this kingdom, enduring the unparalleled environmental irresponsibility of her former American colonies, and such now is the Necessity which constrains us to restore their former system of government. The History of the present 'President' of these our one-time colonies is a History of repeated Injuries and Usurpations: injury to our global environment and its prospects for long term survival intact, and usurpation of the power that properly belongs to the global international society as a whole, to enable it to carry out the measures that are needed to safeguard its future - and that of the global environment on which it depends.

To prove this let facts be submitted to a candid world :

He has refused his assent to an International treaty, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good, and of most immediate and pressing importance for the preservation of the stability of the global climate on which humanity depends - namely the Kyoto treaty.

That this treaty is the only treaty which ensures the international cooperative effort, without which it is impossible to deal with the global threat posed by climate change.

That this global threat includes the increased frequency and severity of weather-related disasters, such as cyclones, floods, forest-fires (like those that regularly affect the Western USA), droughts and resultant famines, the further reduction of global biodiversity, the submergence of cities beneath rising sea levels..and indeed, if unchecked could render the planet uninhabitable.

That climate change will effect most severely and immediately the poorest people of the world even though it is the rich industrialised nations that are overwhelmingly responsible for it, so far (with their much higher carbon emissions to date).

That Her majestys former American colonies (with subsequently acquired territories) are responsible for one quarter of all the worlds carbon emissions while constituting only 5percent of global population.

That there is a 'delayed effect' between the emission of CO2 and other greenhouse gases, and the actual full impact of these emissions on the climate so that we have already done irreparable and incalculable damage to the global climate and consequently environment, but that if we fail to bring down emissions the tragedies of the coming decades will be all the greater. The situation is therefore urgent and there is no time to lose.

That people are already dieing from climate change, which has had a measurable effect on global climate and must therefore have already had a contributory effect to weather related disasters there is now no such thing as a "Natural", weather-related disaster because the weather is no longer entirely 'natural' but to some degree the result of human agency.

He, (the present 'President' of limitless injuries and usurpations) has done nothing to reduce his country's disproportionate levels of CO2 emission, in fact his energy policies will lead to a considerable increase.

He has campaigned to extend the exploitation of fossil fuel reserves even in areas of outstanding vulnerability and significance to the country's natural heritage such as the Alaskan wilderness Park.

He has refused to acknowledge the judgement of all the worlds best scientists that climate change is caused by human agency and in particular the emission of CO2 through the burning of Fossil fuels.

Not only has he refused to heed the judgement of the National Academy of Sciences, he has even tried to deny the reports of his own experts, dismissing them as "something put out by the beurocracy".

His administration has connived at the removal of Bob Watson as the chairman of the worlds leading scientific authority on climate change, because it found his outspoken opinions on the need to combat climate change, unpalatable.

That at every step he and his government have echoed the views of those that clearly have a strong motive of self-interest in this matter, namely the fossil fuel corporations.

One such corporation is Exxon Mobil which, for instance, wrote a memo to the Whitehouse suggesting Bob Watson's removal..this being subsequently acted upon by the administration.

He has, therefore, betrayed the dignity of his office by putting the special and particular interests of the fossil fuel corporations - that played an important role in supporting and bankrolling his campaign and with which he and most of his top officials have had a long and close involvement - before those of his country, and indeed of the world, as a whole.

He has, in effect, allowed the American culture of short-term greed, of 'the quick buck' and of unparalleled corporate unscrupulousness and corruption, to dominate over his environmental policy with incalculable cost for future generations.

A President whose Character is thus marked by every sign of cow-towing to special interests, and which has been stamped indelibly by a culture of corporate greed, is unfit to be the ruler of a free and responsible people.

Futhermore he does not even hold his office by virtue of an absolute majority of the votes of the (should-be) colonists.

In every stage of these misdoings we have petitioned for redress for our beleagoured global environment, in the most humble terms: our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. Nor have we been wanting in Attentions to our American brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their government to achieve an unwarranted disruption of the Kyoto process. We have appealed to their native Justice and Maganaminity, no less than their common sense, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations of international authority which would inevitably interrupt a proper progress towards the safeguarding of the global environment. But they too have been deaf to the voice of Justice and consanguinity. We must therefore acquiesce in the Necessity, which denounces their reincorporation and hold them, as we held them before as Her Majesty's colonial subjects.

We, therefore, as the representatives of her most Royal majesty, appealing to the supreme Judge of the World for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the name of, and by the authority of Her most excellent Majesty, solemnly publish and declare that these United states are, and of right ought to be, the sovereign territory of Her majesty Queen Elizabeth the second; that they are absolved of all Allegiance to a discredited and pernicious administration, that the political connection between them and The state of Great Britain is hereby re-established and that as a loyal and subject territory they have no right to sabotage international treaties designed to safeguard our global environment and our childrens' future, which as an independent state they have shown a dangerous tendency to do. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the Protection of divine providence, we all here mutually pledge to each other our lives, our Fortunes, our sacred honour and our hopes for a livable planet.

God save the Queen. Amen.
