The public consultation on Kingsnorth closes on Wednesday the 9th of September. Ed Miliband will be making a final decision on the future of coal power in the UK.
At 4.30pm on Monday 14th September, we'll be gathering outside the DECC building in London. The demonstration will feature supporters from across the coalition, representing the wide range of public opposition to climate-wrecking dirty coal power.
We'll be setting up an exhibition outside DECC, made up of images of things or people we could protect from climate change by Miliband ruling out new coal in the UK.
Please bring images with you to add to the collection. These can be photos, cut outs from magazines, or drawings that you have created yourself. We are especially keen that families come along, and will have paper and crayons for the kids to make their own drawings whilst they are there.
October's CCC social evening is at the usual time of 6:30pm 'til late at the Cross Kings pub (address above). See you there!
Join us on Wednesday October 7th from 7pm at the Roffen Suite, Rochester, for an evening of exhibits, discussion and debate about dirty new Kingsnorth coal.
Burning coal is the biggest single cause of climate change, yet the government is still considering giving the go-ahead to a series of dirty new coal power stations, the first of which is proposed for Kingsnorth.
This public event will give YOU the chance to quiz the experts and find out what dirty new Kingsnorth coal would mean for the environment, for jobs, and for global justice.
